Each dam page lists the country, structural height, year of completion, dam type (arch, gravity, embankment, run-of-river and others) and the river it impounds, followed by a short profile of its capacity, history and impact. Height is left out for barrages and diversion schemes where a single structural height does not apply. Search by dam name, river or country, or start from the featured dams on the home page.
